Purpose: To actively support and uphold the Association’s stated mission. To assist the Recreation Coordinator in the supervision of daily operations of a large recreational facility and/or to coordinate special events, room reservations, and programs.
Supervision: Receives direction from Recreation Coordinator, Recreation Director, and other management staff.
Hours: Saturday-Sunday. Hours will vary between 8am – 9pm. For a total of 12-15 hours a week. Will have the opportunity to fill shifts if needed.
Pay rate: Starting at $14.50-15.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- Previous experience working at a recreation facility and/or coordinating/volunteering for large events preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook).
- Knowledge in using Google Docs, Sheets, and Sites.
- Experience with Active Net preferred.
- Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks.
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Applicant Requirement: Possession of a valid Arizona driver’s license. Must obtain current CPR/First Aid/AED Certification within 60 days of hire date.

Examples of Duties:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Administrative
- Update and maintain Recreation Staff forms (checklists, pool chemical logs, tennis court sheets, etc.).
- Assist in records management for recreation classes, events, and programs.
- Complete administrative tasks in RecDesk
- Assist in organization, scheduling, and implementation of recreation activities for homeowners.
- Assist and participate in the direction of daily operations for a large recreational facility.
- Use moderate physical exertion in repetitive lifting and moving equipment, supplies, and room furniture.
- Administer first aid in an emergency situation.
Customer Service
- Work customer service counter (answer telephone, handle customer inquiries, and customer service).
- Contact customers to collect necessary forms and payments for upcoming room reservations.
- Handle customer complaints or unique needs when the Recreation Coordinator and Recreation Manager are unavailable.
- Assist and respond to residents regarding questions, comments, or concerns.
- Responsible for tickets on hand and cash register
- Ability to express Association guidelines to homeowners and their guests
- Organize daily set-up and take down of center: lifting/moving tables, chairs, and boxes.
- Responsible for the appearance of the front desk programming
- Issuing and collecting of payment
- Maintains order in restrooms/showers, enforces rules/regulations, including safety rules, regarding the use of the facilities and the pool area
- Be familiar with emergency procedures for pool and Recreation Centers
Maintenance
- Keep recreation center area including buildings and open areas free of trash, papers, etc.
- Empty ash trays and trash cans daily or more often if required
- Responsible for minor repairs and maintenance of equipment
- May be required to clean restrooms or storage areas upon Recreation Director/Coordinator request
- All other duties as requested by Recreation Director/Coordinator Supervision
- Responsible for overseeing recreation classes, facilities, and patrons within common areas.
- Complete/Maintain reports as needed for accidents, pool maintenance, attendance logs, etc.
- Ability to oversee facility by oneself in the evening hours.
- Notification of Recreation Manager/Coordinator of any major problem a soon as possible after its occurrence
