Our Lakes

Our Lakes: Water Quality Report

The Lakes at Dobson Ranch are tested monthly to monitor water quality and aquatic life in the lakes. These tests are done by Dr. Amalfi with Aquatic Consulting and Testing, Inc. These tests inform us on whether we need to treat our lakes for harmful algae, find out what types of fish need to be stocked, and other important factors. This information is reviewed by our Water and Lake Management Committee who then make recommendations to the Board of Directors as needed.

Our Lakes

Many of our 18,000 residents agree that the most outstanding feature in the neighborhood is the lakes. In fact, Dobson Ranch is the largest lake community in Mesa, AZ. Out of 100 acres of common areas, 78 acres are comprised of the lakes.

We have seven artificial lakes throughout the Ranch where there are walking paths, catch and release fishing and boating. Fishing and boating licenses are required. These are available at our Recreation Department at La Casita.

Feeding of wildlife (fish, fowl, feral cats or turtles) is not permitted in the common areas/lakes.

Pickleball Club

Pickleball Club

Pickleball courts are open to association members and their guests from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm every day of the week, so drop by for some fun with family and friends to enjoy the fastest growing sport in America.

We welcome new resident players but do advise checking with us before coming out to make sure our schedule has not changed. We provide balls for drop-in play through the generous donations of our players, and can provide loaned paddles, but please wear appropriate court shoes. Contact Rich Bitner (rebitner@nullcs.com) or Frank Mizner (planner1948@nullgmail.com) for further information, to get referrals for professional instruction, and to get on our email list for announcements regarding pickleball schedules and activities. Please contact Donna Ransom at (donna85202@nullgmail.com) to get on her email list for Monday and Thursday night play.
