Dobson Ranch Boat Dock Regulations 1. Rental of slips is available to Dobson Ranch homeowners only in good standing on an annual basis only, not monthly. To be a member in good standing, one must make timely payments of all assessments and fees and adhere to all Dobson Association rules and regulations. Homeowner may not transfer, sublet, assign, or permit use of their slip by any other individual or boat not registered with the Association. 2. No gas power boats permitted; all boats shall be powered manually, by sail or electrically. Maximum of three horsepower. 3. Maximum lengths of boats include: a. Sailboats 18 feet b. Canoes and Kayaks 16 feet c. Pontoon Boats 18 feet-Exception-Lake 1 and 7 28 feet
4. All boats must be registered and licensed with the Dobson Association as well as the Arizona Game and Fish. The license must be displayed where easily seen by a casual observer. 5. All boats must be equipped with life preservers. 6. All connections made to the boat dock receptacles must be grounded and U.L. approved. Wiring must be of adequate size for power provided. 7. Unauthorized signage is not allowed to be displayed on any of the boats docked in the rental slips. 8. No weapons are allowed within the dock area or on any boat on the Association common areas. 9. All alcohol beverage consumption is prohibited on any boat while docked at the rental slips or docked at any common area. 10. For the residents surrounding the dock area, a Quiet Time will be observed between the hours of 10 pm and 8 am. Entering and leaving the dock will be permitted, however, excessive noise will NOT be tolerated. Abuse of noise violations could lead to eviction of slip rental and termination of rental contract, and rental fees paid will not be refunded. 11. Members shall be familiar with and adhere to all rules and regulations, and are responsible for guests and assuring the regulations are also followed by their guests. 12. Swimming, diving or playing in the lake is prohibited at all times. 13. All pets shall be on a contained leash at all times. 14. Boats shall be maintained in a neat, clean and seaworthy condition at all times. 15. Sale of any product or service, including chartering, is not permitted on Association property. 16. Use of any Association facility or service is at the owner, member or user’s risk. 17. Damage to Association property by members or their guests through misuse will obligate the member to replace or repair damaged property . 18. Failure to comply with any rule, regulation or stipulation may result in disciplinary action, termination of contract, or eviction from rental slip. 19. No additions, deletions, or modifications may be made to a slip facility, except as approved in writing by the Board of Directors or the Executive Director. 20. Dobson Ranch Homeowner Association and its employees are authorized to board the watercraft in case of emergency. 21. Dock gate is to be kept locked at all times except during the entry/exit. For safety and security of homeowner boats, the gate is not to be propped open. Lock combination are for dock rental members only and to help insure safety of your watercraft, do NOT give these numbers out to friends, relatives or the general public. 22. No BBQ’s are allowed on the docks or on boats on the lake. Skate boards, roller skates, bicycles and similar wheeled devices may not be used on the docks. 23. The Board of Directors reserves the right to: a. Refuse dock space or assign dock space to any craft. b. Modify or suspend dock rules. 24. A member on the waiting list has the right to refuse the assignment, and if such refusal is made, the member shall retain his/her position on that waiting list. Requirements for slip rental: • Completed Dobson Association Slip Rental Application and contract • Signed waiver of liability releasing Association of liability for damage and vandalism. • A copy of current boat registration. • Boat Liability insurance with a limit of not less than $300,000. Dobson Ranch Homeowner Association must be named as an additional insured or listed as an interested party/certificate holder. o An additional insured endorsement or listing the Association as an interested party names the Association as just that. This means that the Association has the same coverage under the customer’s policy as the customer does. It also means that if, for some reason, the customer’s policy is cancelled, the Association will be notified that the customer no longer has protection. The Association will also be protected under the customer’s policy if the customer is sued and the Association is named in the suit. • Electricity is provided for recharging of boat batteries and is included as a part of the rental fee. Electricity is not to be used for any purpose other than recharging the boat batteries of the person renting the slip. • Fees are to be prepaid annually; waiting list established with process to determine next in line. • Fees: Cost will be based on $2.00/foot. Minimum of $250/year fee per slip.
