Aqua Zumba

NOTE: This class is seasonal.

Instructor:            Karen

When:                  Thursdays (April 26 - September 27, 2018)

Where:                 La Casita Recreation Center Pool

Time:                    6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Cost:                    $7 drop in or $30 resident only for a 5-use punch card

Aqua Zumba keeps the Zumba Fitness workout party going in the pool. Aqua Zumba is classic aqua aerobics with Latin flavor added to regular Zumba routines. The typical land-based Zumba dance steps, such as cha-cha, merengue, salsa, reggaeton, and mambo, are exaggerated and slower in water, so the water tempo is half the land tempo, creating a low-impact work out for all fitness levels. There is less impact on your joints during an Aqua Zumba class so you can really let loose. Water creates natural resistance, which means every step is more challenging and helps tone your muscles.

Punch Cards may be punched one time for residents only per class. No additional punches for guests or residents.

Boating

There are seven man-made lakes located on Dobson Ranch. All are regularly maintained by the homeowners association for the exclusive use of Ranch residents and their guests.

The lake adjacent to the municipal golf course and library park, although connected to the Dobson Ranch series of lakes, is owned by the City of Mesa and is open to the public.

Boating

All watercraft must be registered with the Dobson Association. Annual boat permits may be purchased by Ranch residents at La Casita Recreation Center. Boat Permits are motorized $50.00, non-motorized $25.00 per calendar year. In addition, state law requires that they also be registered with the Arizona Game and Fish Department.

Although gasoline engines are not allowed, boats may have a maximum 3 hp electric motor. Paddle boats, sailboats, pontoon boats and kayaks are all very popular with the many Ranch boating enthusiasts.

Three boats per household are allowed.

Boat Slip Rental

rentboatslip-on-dobsonranch

Fishing

Please see the Ranchers' Round Up magazine for the monthly fishing article!

IMG_7   There are seven man-made lakes located on Dobson Ranch. All are regularly maintained by the homeowners association for the exclusive use of Ranch residents and their guests.

The lake adjacent to the municipal golf course and library park, although connected to the Dobson Ranch series of lakes, is owned by the City of Mesa and is open to the public

Bass and other game fish are stocked each year for the enjoyment of Ranch anglers. Annual fishing permits may be purchased by residents at La Casita Recreation Center. An individual fishing permit is $13.00 and a family permit (up to four people) is $30.00. Children under the age of 7 who are accompanied by an adult with a valid Dobson Ranch permit do not need a fishing permit. There is a limit of one fishing line per person and two hooks per line. Unattended lines are not allowed.

Starting in early 2011, we are now following the catch and release program for all fishing on our lakes.

Tilapia and White Amur are also stocked because of their voracious appetites for algae and weeds. If you should happen to catch one, please gently release it back into the water to help maintain the proper ecological balance.

Swimming: For the health and safety of residents swimming, stand up paddle boards, windsurfing and wading in the lakes are not allowed.

Aquatic Life: Many turtles live on our lakes with special habitats built for them a safe distance from the shore. The lakes are home to resident and migatory ducks, water fowl and geese. Please do not feed the aquatic life.
